OK...basically, the concert started at 6PM so me and my friend left my place around 2:45PM. The PNC Bank Arts Center is a lil over an hour away from me.
So I called Jeff up to let him know that I was making my way towards the arena. He tells me that he and the girls weren't there 'cuz they went to grab something to eat and they should be back in like half an hour. He then said that he'll call me once they're on their way back so that I can meet up with them.
So my friend and I went and found parking but it was so far from the arena. And while we were trying to find parking, we didn't expect this but....this concert was soo big that there were cars literally everywhere on grass...people havin' like tailgate parties, sitting on lawn chairs, BBQ grills, lounge chairs and coolers with beer.
So when we finally found our parking spot, we just waited by in the car for about half-an hour. So around 10 to 5PM, even though Jeff hadn't called me back yet, I decided that we should make our way towards the arena and hopefully by then, Jeff would call me.
This was at least a 15 min. walk to the arena and going up a slight hill in like 90 degree heat!
Anyway, when we finally got near the entrance to the arena, I called Jeff up to see where they were and he said they were on there way and I told him that we were by the VIP entrance and that I had a bag full o roses to give to the girls. So he said that he was gonna ask their driver to see if they could go to where we were so that I could just give the flowers to the girls in the limo.
So we waited...he was suppose to call me back but I kept on waiting...we kept on seeing limos pass by but it wasn't them. So finally, Jeff txts me on my phone to call him. So thought to myself, that's weird, why didn't he just call me? So I called him up and he said that he was having problems calling him but now they were running a lil late so they just went back to the backstage area and that he would personally come down to the box office and give me the tixx and let me in.
So I went to the Will Call window like he told me to and by the time I got there, he calls me back and says that he can't make it 'cuz we were too far from him so he was gonna have a lady named Karen come down and let us in. Minutes later, Karen calls me back and says that she can't do it and that she was gonna send someone else to the Will Call window.
So by the time the girl that came down with our tixx it was after 6PM, maybe it was like 6:20PM and so the concert had started already and I didn't know when the girls were gonna go on. So I asked the girl who gave us our tixx if she was gonna let us in and bring us to Jeff & the girls, she said no and that I'd have to talk to Jeff.
So I called Jeff up to clarify what we were suppose to do. He said to just basically go in and txt him our seats and he'll come out and get us. But what he didn't realize that there was a LONG-ASS LINE of ppl trying to get in to the concert. I mean it was LOOOONNNGG. There were so many ppl there.
So me & my friend wait on line and I called Jeff up to tell him that it was gonna take awhile for us to get in so I asked him when the girls were gonna go on...and he said in about 30 mins. I was like "shit!" I knew when he said that we weren't gonna make it. But he tells me that he was gonna try and find someone to just let us in so that we didn't have to wait. ---No such luck!
So after about a lil over half-an hour, we finally get in. I txt Jeff that we're in but I knew already that we missed PCD. He calls me after I txt him and he says he's gonna try and get us. So we're going back and forth on the phone or txting for about 5-10 mins. trying to find each other. He finally tells me to look all the way to the right of the stage and I see him there waving his hand.
The problem was that we were exactly diagonally across from him. So me & my friend had to basically walk and dodge all these ppl while I'm carrying the bag of roses just to get to him. I finally get to him and we exchange hellos and he slaps a backstage pass on me & my friend and we quickly run backstage. I'm passing through all the security, bouncers...other artists & their entourage...it was surreal!
So we finally get to the back and to the parking lot behind the arena and there was a white limo parked. Jeff knocks on the door and Nicole comes right out!
I give her her dozen red roses and she gives me a hug & a kiss and thanks me, then each Doll one-by-one come out of the limo and I hand them each a half-dozen bouquet of pink roses and they all give me a hug & a kiss and thanked me for the roses.
When I told them that I didn't get to see them perform, they were all sad but I told them that by the time I got the tixx, the wait on the line was soooo long that it took over 30 mins. to get in 'cuz everyone was being searched and frisked. Nicole and all the Dolls were soooo sweet and nice and sooo friendly. And then Nicole tells me that she has all these stuffed animals in her bedroom but she refuses to sleep with any other animal except the one I gave her back in March. I was like "wow! That's awesome!" And Jeff was like, "yeah, we keep telling her to change it up now and then but doesn't want to."
So we took the pix and then Nicole said to me that from now on I'm not gonna have to wait on any line anymore and that Jeff would personally see it that I will be able to just walk in and see them and probably hang out too! So after we took the pics, we said our good-byes and I thanked Jeff profusely for giving me and my friend the opportunity in meeting Nicole and the Dolls. He was sooo cool about the whole thing...he's the man! That's all I can say about their manager. He's really cool, nice and awesome!
