As everyone has probably noticed, things on the Nicole front have been pretty quiet the past few weeks, but Nicole tweeted recently saying she was filming her music video for her second single, “Don’t Hold Your Breath.” The video is being filmed in a house built in 1890 and is directed by Rich Lee who also worked with PCD on the “Hush Hush; Hush Hush” music video.

Truly, showbiz makes some strange bedfellows. Like Bollywood music maestro AR Rahman and sexy American singer, songwriter, dancer and actress Nicole Scherzinger, who is also the lead singer of the pop group Pussycat Dolls.

The two had teamed up to remix the Jai Ho! soundtrack from Slumdog Millionaire and make it as sensational a foot-stepping number as was Sukhwinder Singh’s original. Now there is buzz that they are working together on either an album or an international show. Rahman is supposed to be hosting Nicole and her boyfriend, the F1 star Lewis Hamilton, for dinner in Los Angeles.

Record producers see in them a huge potential as Nicole has a considerable following in India. Rahman, incidentally, also collaborated with English singer-songwriter Dido for the song If I Rise in Danny Boyle’s film 127 Hours that is huge right now and likely to get an Oscar nomination.

And now Sharon Osbourne has come forward to say that Cheryl Cole has no chance of making it in America when she goes over next year for the American version of The X Factor.

Former X Factor judge Sharon claims that while Cheryl is popular in the UK, her success will be eclipsed by that of Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger, who is also tipped for the US panel.

She told Now magazine: ‘Cheryl’s perfect for England – she’s the nation’s sweetheart and they absolutely love her.

‘But over here it’s Nicole’s town. You have to think of the audience and most of them would never have heard of Girls Aloud.

‘Nicole’s great TV, has a huge following here in the States and people absolutely love her. Plus she’s beautiful and talented.’

Why? because she was a TV talent-show winner on “Popstars” as a member of Eden’s Crush, she got freaky as lead singer of the Pussycat Dolls, she dated a race-car driver, she has a role in the upcoming “Men in Black 3″ (with Will Smith), she was a mirror-ball winner on “Dancing with the Stars” and, well, just because (see photo).

Nicole was born in Hawaii, grew up in Kentucky, and if you wonder why she looks so exotic, it’s because she’s part Filipino, Ukrainian, Russian and Hawaiian.

She’s been performing since childhood, and even though she became famous fronting a group known more for their gyrations and g-strings than their a cappella vocal arrangements, she said by phone from New York that she enjoys judging because she really respects Folds and Stockman as artists and musicians, and “she went to school for voice and theater.”

Nicole Scherzinger has revealed that she wants to collaborate with Plan B on her forthcoming album.

The singer expressed that Plan B, real name Ben Drew, is the only artist that she has any intention of working with on the album.

“My label asked me who I wanted to work with and I said the only person I want is Plan B,” Scherzinger told the Daily Star.

She added: ”I’m a huge fan. So I’m actually going to meet with him this week. I don’t know his face, his videos or anything but I love his music.”
